2nd Annual Children’s Art Contest
Presented by the Havre de Grace Arts Commission for children ages 3 thru 9. Theme: My Favorite Animals. Use paint, pencils, crayons or pastels on paper 9”x13” or smaller; limited to two entries per child; label each piece on the back ~ name, address, age and phone number. Submit art work to HdG Library at Union & Pennington. All artwork will be judged in four groups by age and displayed on September 6 at the 20th Annual Children’s Arts Festival. Prizes will be awarded in each group. Contestants need not be present to win. Pieces will be returned to the children at the festival.

Eden Mill Nature Center is proud to offer this new series entitled “Tiny Wonders.” What do preschoolers wonder about? Let us answer their questions on topics of high interest for 2-5 year olds. Two former teachers work together to cultivate a child’s natural curiosity through stories, music, crafts, movement, and dramatic play. Tiny Wonders will be offered on May 28th and August 9th from 10:00am-11:30am and May 22nd, June 4th, June 26th, July 20th from 1:00pm-2:30pm. Topics will be chosen by the instructors and will be boy and girl friendly. The fee for each date is $8 per member and $6 per member sibling or $10 per non-member.
